Camping San Cristoforo

Away from the crowd. In the middle of nature. San Cristoforo is a lovely small-scale campsite 50 metres from the lake, in an area where nature rules. On the pebble beach sits the beautiful Lake Caldonazzo, where you can bathe in wonderful swimming water (25 degrees!) Here you'll experience peace while the mountains of Trentino are also calling. Come hiking, come mountain biking! Enjoy action and relaxation in a friendly atmosphere.

The surrounding of Camping San Cristoforo

Everyone knows Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. But do you know Lago di Caldonazzo? This mirror-smooth lake is one of Northern Italy's best kept secrets. Undiscovered by the masses, and well-guarded by giants of mountains. Take sturdy hiking boots with you. In this region, Valsugana, you'll experience the great outdoors, although there's also plenty to see in the inhabited world. Like the beautiful city of Trento, a day trip to Lake Garda or Gardaland theme park.

Some tips for your holiday at Camping San Cristoforo in San Cristoforo

    • Your holiday address is located near the small village of San Cristoforo, on the flat north side of Lago di Caldonazzo. This is one of two lakes in this beautiful part of Valsugana, about 15 kilometres southeast of the city of Trento.
    • Nearby is Tenna Hill, which separates the two lakes. This is an attractive area with many walking and cycling opportunities. Both lakes are among the warmest in northern Italy with water temperatures of 20-25 degrees.
    • In Valsugana you can go hiking or mountain biking. The campsites are only 500 metres from the 80km long Valsugana cycle path. A flat easy route, suitable for every cyclist. Along the way you'll pass cosy 'bicigrills'- perfect for filling up on some energy during a break.
    • Recommended for hikers: the trip to the top of the Panarotta.
    • Close by, the pretty little town of Pergine and the larger Trento await your visit.
    • In Trento, Italian finesse and rugged mountain life melt together beautifully. In the heart of the city, you will find the atmospheric Piazza Duomo, Le Gallerie underground museum (the tunnels), a castle of Buonconsiglio and beautiful buildings with frescoes from the Renaissance. It's an elegant city, but in the meantime rugged nature stands directly in front of the city gates. Take the cable car to Sardagna or hike in the Orrido di Ponte Alto canyon.
    • Get in the car for an enchanting tour. Such as the beautiful trip over the steep Manghen pass.
    • Via Trento you can reach the north side of Lake Garda, Lake Idro or the smaller Lake Ledro in a short time.
    • For theme park enthusiasts: Gardaland and Canevaworld theme parks are about an hour's drive from the campsite.
    • Nearest airport: Verona (VRN) at 90 km
    • Train station: 500 m
    • Bus station: 400 m
    • Area: flat
    • Nearest city/village: 3 km
    • Nearest lake: 50 m
    • Supermarket: 3 km
