Campsite information

Camping Costa de Caparica

Camping Orbitur Costa de Caparica is a pleasant, not too a big campsite located on the peninsula, 20km south of Lisbon. The pitches are spacious and separated from each other by green hedges. The trees on the campsite are still young but provide enough shade. The nearby lively boulevard is lined with restaurants, bars and shops.

  • A perfect base for visiting Lisbon.
  • There are good facilities and entertainment. The children can play, there's a friendly bar and the restaurant offers a wide choice of meals.
  • A small pathway leads to the beach, which is about 100m away. In high season you can take a short cut via the rear of the campsite.
  • This is a true Portuguese campsite so you will meet locals who are also guests here. So if you need a local guide, just ask around.

The surrounding of Camping Costa de Caparica

A good way to discover Lisbon, It is the city of Fado music, whose seven hills are connected by lifts, rack railways and unique old tramlines. A large bridge over the Tago river connects the city with the penninsula on the opposite side of the river. You can park your car for a small fee and take the ferry to the city. The bridge is very similar to the one in San Francisco. At the peninsula side of the river, the start of the bridge is guarded by a huge statue of Christ that looks like the one in Rio de Janiero.
