Some tips for your holiday at Camping Terme Banovci in Veržej
- The best introduction to the landscape? The Jerusalem Wine Route. On foot, by bike, or by car – the roads meander beautifully through the blushing grape hills. Memorise the panoramic views. And don't forget to stop at a winery.
- One of the most famous wine estates is Hlebec. This winemaking family owns 40,000 vines on the slopes of Ljutomersko-Ormoške. In addition to wine tasting, you can also enjoy excellent food here. The mushroom soup, roast duck and tünka (pork) dishes are house specialties.
- Visit nearby Veržej and Ljutomer, the capital of Prlekija. Ljutomer is named after a mythical monster that ravaged the city in the distant past. Now you can stroll through peaceful streets and across three squares, each with its own monument. In summer, horse races are held in the equestrian arena.
- Take a romantic trip to the 11th century Negova Castle. The white walls and red roofs contrast beautifully with the green forests. The adjoining herb garden is a fair for your eyes and nose.
