Vilanova was a great campsite for us with children aged 14, 12 and 8. Two pools to choose from which provided variety. The Vacansoleil tents were well positioned conveniently close to toilet block, without being too close, and at the opposite end of the campsite to the entertainment so nice and peaceful. Campsite clean and well maintained. Choice of restaurant or smaller bar near to the two pools so again provided some variety. Went to the beach at Cubelles which was quiter and easier to park than at Villanova i Geltru where we gave up when we tried to go there on a Sunday! Al Campo supermarket in Villanova good for shopping. Though camp shop very well stocked and reasonably priced (apart from imported goods of of course). Enjoyed the area as seemed to be an area where Spanish people go on holiday, rather than a regular tourist kind of area, which we much preferred. Convenient for Barcelona - drove to the outskirts and parked for free in the University area (as kindly suggested by helpful campsite staff at reception) then took Metro into town. Also convenient for the Nou Camp - approx 30 min walk from University area. Overall a great holiday!
Area tip Go to the beach at Cubelles - easier to park and quieter, if driving to Barcelona park on streets in University area, Al Campo supermarket good for shopping

A really clean and well kept campsite. Mobile home accommodation was immaculate, along with surrounding area. The site itself was very peaceful but lots going on. Very good lifeguards at the pool, although one of the pools was very packed each day so a swimming lane and younger child area (apart from baby pool) would have been welcome. The on site shop was surprisingly good value, had a good range and had fesh bread and pastries every day which was nice!

Some tips for your holiday at Camping Vilanova Park in Vilanova i la Geltrú
- Visit the impressive Montserrat rocks, oddly shaped mountains that have evolved over the years due to erosion.
- A day in the city of Barcelona is also a great experience. Take the bus there from just outside the campsite. Enjoy the wonderful trip through the Garraf tunnels and be at Las Ramblas within an hour.
- The charming city of Sitges is closer and has a famous church that is known from the International Film Festival.
- Vilanova i la Geltrú has several interesting museums including a railway museum.
- The historic city of Tarragona is a good idea for a day trip.
- Enjoy a day in Reus, which is where Gaudí was born. It has a museum, pleasant shops and lovely streets.
