Camping Limburg

Just look at the map: Camping Limburg is located in the narrowest part of the Netherlands. Here you can enjoy a three-country holiday. Before you know it, you’ll be sitting on a terrace in Maaseik in Belgium, or in the German city of Aachen. Yet you don't have to leave South Limburg to feel like you've made the most of it. Enjoy the undulating hilly landscape and ancient hillside forests. Immerse yourself in the Burgundian cosiness. And feel completely at home in this unique environment.

The surrounding of Camping Limburg

Long roads wind peacefully through the green hills. You'll see fruit trees showing off blossoms and hear the church bells ringing. South Limburg stirs the soul. The colours, the language, the landscape ... everything sounds and looks just that little bit softer. The holiday park is located right where the landscape begins to shine. The perfect base for your holiday.

Recommended by our region specialist

"It is no surprise that Limburg has a unique landscape. Set out from this Camping Limburg, and settle down to relax on a typical Burgundian terrace. Spice up your holiday with one of the many specialties of the region: flan, asparagus, or a farmer's sandwich with apple syrup."

Some tips for your holiday at Camping Limburg in Susteren

    • Immediately fill your lungs with fresh air in the IJzerenbos, the nature reserve that borders the holiday park. Take a leisurely stroll along the hiking trails or pedal your way on a rented bicycle.
    • From the park you can easily walk to Susteren, a rural village with a few special eye-catchers. The imposing Basilica of St. Amelberga cannot be missed. Did you know that the medieval King Swentibold is buried here? And that in the vaults you will find a room full of religious treasures and relics? In the spring you’ll discover a completely different treasure on the square in the village: white gold. Yes, asparagus is the delicacy here!
    • Once a proud castle, now a fine animal park. You can spend a good day in Born Castle Park among porcupines, camels, and strange birds. In Kerkrade you’ll also find a large zoo: GaiaZoo.
    • Visit a real castle and wander through the corridors in squire or princess clothes. In Hoensbroek Castle, young and older visitors can imagine themselves in a knight's film. This stronghold dates from 1360 and still looks amazing. It is now a museum with many fun activities for the little ones.
    • Go for a walk on the Brunssummerheide and hop in the car for a tour through the Limburg landscape. Make a stop in Valkenburg to visit the mysterious cave systems.
    • You have the choice of cities in the area. Be surprised by the historic center of Sittard. Stroll along the Burgundian boulevards of Maastricht. And don't forget Heerlen. This old mining town has taken on an exciting new identity after the mines closed. The city is now full of street art, culture, and interesting museums.
    • Of course, you can also visit the neighbours. De Kempen National Park in Belgian Limburg is a few minutes' drive away. If you go the other way, you will almost immediately pass the sign: 'Willkommen in Deutschland.'
