Some tips for your holiday at Camping Spaarnwoude in Halfweg

    • What could be nicer than relaxing in nature? Besides Spaarnwoude, you will find another green pearl here: the Twiske-Waterland nature reserve, an ancient polder landscape with ditches, dikes, and picturesque villages. The Netherlands that you know from the old paintings.
    • Speaking of paintings; art lovers can indulge themselves in the renovated Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Hermitage Amsterdam.
    • Tops for the kids: Artis Zoo, Klimpark Fun Forest Amsterdam and the NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam. Nice and close.
    • Admire the historic face of Amsterdam: the canal belt with the canal houses. See the city from a tour boat.
    • Shopping? The chic shop windows of the Kalverstraat and the P.C. Hooftstraat hypnotize you on the spot. You can find trendy and traditional products in the 9 streets area behind the Paleis op de Dam. But maybe you'd rather take your chances at the crazy goodies market on Waterlooplein.
    • Visit Alkmaar cheese town. On the Waagplein you can experience the spectacle of the cheese carriers live every day.
    • Do you want it even more Dutch? At the Zaanse Schans you step back for a moment to the eighteenth and nineteenth century. You can hear the clatter of old tools between the striking windmills, wooden houses, and old barns. Discover old Dutch crafts including clog making and cheese making.
    • Golf enthusiast? The Amsterdam Golf Club and Houtrak Golf Club are almost directly around the corner and a little further away you’ll find the greens of Golfbaan Spaarnwoude, the largest golf course in Europe.
