Campsite Molengroet is located right in the middle of the recreational area of Geestmerambacht and is surrounded by nature. Go fishing on the lake, go birdwatching in Geestmerambacht or go for a nice picnic. You’ll have plenty to do during your holiday!

    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Molengroet in Noord-Scharwoude

    • Of course Amsterdam is the highlight of your holiday. Admire the historical canal houses, visit one of the dozens excellent museums, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the vibrant city centre where you’ll see more bikes than cars
    • Make sure to go on a daytrip to Alkmaar. There’s so much to do in this typically Dutch city that you won’t even know where to start, but you absolutely can’t miss the cheese market. Watch how the cheeses are being carried to and from the market and being inspected. Learn how this typically Dutch product is made. Don’t forget to bring home a souvenir!
    • After the cheese market you can enjoy a nice beer or wine on the terrace and you can visit the vibrant city centre.
    • Stroll in the high dunes in Schoorl or cycle on of the many biking routes along the sea. Are you tired of just biking? Rent a mountain bike to admire the area. This will boost your trip!
    • You should absolutely visit Bergen. This picturesque village near the water, of which the coloured houses will remind you of a Scandinavian city, harbours many treasures for you to explore. Go to the lovely boutiques, enjoy a drink on the vibrant terrace and the history fans will love the Ruïnekerk right in the middle of the city centre. On sunny days you can rent a boat and discover the area by boat!
    • If you feel like going to the beach for a day, then you’ll be in Egmond aan Zee in no time. At the beach you’ll be occupied for hours, but there’s more than just the beach. The village of Egmond aan Zee is also very nice to visit and you should absolutely visit the lighthouse J.C.J van Speijk. It’s the oldest lighthouse of the Netherlands that is still in operation!
    • Be the typical tourist and go to the Zaanse Schans. Here you can enjoy the centuries old windmills among other tourists and can you see how clogs are made.
