Some tips for your holiday at Camping De Utrechtse Heuvelrug in Maarn

    • Cycling, walking in the woods, birdwatching, touring estates and castles, picnicking in the sand and enjoying the view. De Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park automatically sets your legs in motion.
    • At the highest point of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug you’ll find the only pyramid in the Netherlands. The green 'Pyramid of Austerlitz' was built in 1804 as a tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte. Climb to the top for a smashing view.
    • Within twenty minutes you’re in Amersfoort. This city exudes cultural history. From the Muurhuizen (small houses) on the site of the old city wall to the Mondriaanhuis museum and KADE art centre. Wander through the medieval centre, discover cute shops in the Krommestraat and settle down on De Hof square. Which café will you choose?
    • Visit Utrecht, famous of its church de Dom, the beautiful canals, the wharf cellars converted into cosy bars, green city parks and a colourful mix of shopping streets. Are you visiting the city with a little one? Be sure to stop by the Miffy museum!
    • You can even go to Amsterdam. You’ll be there in an hour!
    • Another hit for children: Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen. Come face to face with giant pandas, sea lions, polar bears, and many more beastly inhabitants.

    • For a day of swimming, sunbathing, floating, or reading a book in the sand, go to Henschotermeer. A unique recreation area in the middle of nature, within walking distance of the holiday park. Look how beautifully the white sand contrasts with the blue water!
