Some tips for your holiday at Camping Bad MeerSee in Nieuwvliet

    • Nieuwvliet beach is a paradise for everyone. Sheltered between the dunes, you can spend whole days here. You can swim, sunbathe, horseback ride, paraglide, fly a kite. Children bounce excitedly through the sand, looking for washed-up shells. Surfers play antics on the waves. And the large wooden terrace of De Boekanier beach pavilion is the grandstand of the beach. Take a seat for a snack or drink!
    • You'll be in Belgium in no time. The romantic city of Bruges immediately captures your heart, it is so beautiful here with all those old buildings on the canals. The chic seaside resort of Knokke, with a palace-like casino, also guarantees a day of optimal fun.
    • Nature lovers clap their hands. The dunes are the dream setting for many walking and stair tours. In your walking shoes or on your bicycle saddle, you drift along winding paths, from lighthouse to lookout point, between swaying marram grass and beautiful bloomers. Just across the border in Belgium is Het Zwim, a renowned nature reserve where you can spot rare birds. Bring your binoculars!
    • Visit Breskens and feel free to spend a whole day for it. The harbour where fishing boats come and go, the Fisheries Museum, the four-kilometre-long sandy beach and the many Burgundian eating options where you can taste Zeeland sensations such as fresh oysters, mussels and the Westerschelde lobster.
    • Vlissingen, Middelburg, Veere ... these historic places on the northern island of Walcheren are easily accessible.
    • Smaller but very close, lies the old town of Sluis. Famous for its refined culinary restaurants, the very cosy streets, and the only Belfry in the Netherlands.
    • Is there a skipper in you? Take a cruise on the Westerschelde on an old mussel cutter. Along the way you spot sunbathing seals on the sandbanks and with a bit of luck you’ll even see a porpoise.
