For which destinations do I have to fill out a mandatory COVID registration form?

This is currently obligatory if you are going on holiday to Belgium and certain regions in Italy

Belgium

Are you going on holiday to Belgium? Then the Belgian government requires you to fill in a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) if you are intend to stay in Belgium for more than 48 hours. You must complete this form within 48 hours before your arrival. Each person must complete this form individually. Only children under the age of 16 travelling with an adult or their parents can be registered on their parent's form.

Here you can find the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) for Belgium

Italy
Are you going on holiday in Italy to Apulia, Calabria, Sardinia or Sicily? Then the local authorities require you to fill in a Health registration COVID 19 form. Each region has a separate form. You must complete this form before your arrival.

Due to the coronavirus, there is a negative travel advice for my holiday destination. What happens now?

If this situation applies to your holiday, our customer service will contact you by phone or e-mail.

If your holiday cannot take place as planned you will receive a corona voucher worth the amount you paid for your holiday. This allows you to book a new holiday at a later date.

We are currently approaching anyone who is due to go on holiday in the near future. We will contact you by phone or e-mail no later than 2 weeks before your actual departure date. We kindly ask you not to call us yourself. This way we can help you and other guests faster and more efficiently.

What is the corona voucher?

If your planned holiday cannot take place due to the corona virus situation, you will receive a corona voucher to the value of holiday payments made to date. You can redeem this voucher for a new Vacansoleil booking. The voucher can be used for all Vacansoleii campsites. The voucher is valid for 1 year from the date of issue. You must therefore make a new booking within 1 year for a holiday taking place in2021.

What if I want to cancel my holiday if there is no negative travel advice?

Yes, that's possible. You must then pay the cancellation costs that apply at the time of your cancellation.
The cancellation costs are now:

  • cancellation up to 14 days before your arrival date: 30% cancellation fee
  • if cancelled up to 1 day before your arrival date: 90% cancellation fee
  • in case of cancellation on your day of arrival: 100% cancellation costs

Are the cancellation costs at the time of cancellation less than the amount you have already paid? Then we clear the cancellation costs with your payment(s) and you will receive a voucher to the value of the amount overpaid. Unfortunately, given the exceptional circumstances, we cannot issue refunds.

Have you taken out cancellation insurance and do you have a valid reason to cancel under the terms of your insurance? Then you may be able to claim the cancellation costs back from your insurance company. Please contact your insurer for this.

The campsite which I booked will not open until later in the season. What should I do now?

If you have booked with us and your campsite is not due to open until later in the season, because of the consequences of the coronavirus, then we will contact you as soon as possible by phone or e-mail. We will contact you no later than 2 weeks before your actual departure date.

Can I postpone my balance payment?

Under our usual conditions, the second payment must be made 8 weeks before the arrival date. However, as we understand that the current situation is still creating a lot of uncertainty, we have changed this period to 4 weeks before arrival. We have now adjusted this for all reservations. You do not need to contact us about this.

I do not want a corona voucher, but a refund of my paid travel sum. Is that possible too?

We fully understand that you may prefer a refund of the paid travel sum. Unfortunately this is not possible now. The circumstances are so exceptional that we have opted for an exceptional solution.

I'm going on holiday soon. Are there any measures or rules that I should be aware of?

The measures against the spread of the coronavirus are being carefully phased out in many countries. Campsites have reopened in some countries and / or regions. It may well be that certain facilities (such as swimming pools, catering and the toilet blocks ) are not yet open / or are partly closed. Different opening hours may also apply to certain facilities. At the campsite, you must take into account the local safety regulations. Because this information differs per destination and / or per campsite and also changes regularly, we advise you to consult the official website of the campsite before you leave.

Specific safety rules apply to each country. Many measures may seem similar, but they are often slightly different. That is why we advise you to inform yourself properly about the local rules. You can view the corona measures per country on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Can I still rebook my holiday?

Up to the 15th of June, you could rebook your holiday free of charge. Would you like to rebook your holiday after this date? That's possible, but we must then first cancel the holiday which you have already booked. This means you must then also pay the cancellation costs that apply at the time of cancellation. The cancellation costs are now:

  • cancellation up to 14 days before your arrival date: 30% cancellation fee
  • if cancelled up to 1 day before your arrival date: 90% cancellation fee
  • in case of cancellation on your day of arrival : 100% cancellation costs
