Some tips for your holiday at Camping Chalets & Glamping Nassfeld in Kötschach-Mauthen

    • Hiking enthusiasts can get their boots on. The 110-kilometre long Karnische Höhenweg (KHW403 for insiders) meanders through these parts. Plan a few stages and enjoy the grandiose panoramas.
    • Spend a day at the Zollnersee, a beautiful mountain lake, completely surrounded by alpine meadows. Tip: follow the geotrail and discover that this mountain area was once a sea. With a bit of luck, you’ll spot fossilized shells here!
    • Take the Sommerbahn (cable car) to Nassfeld for an active day of outdoor fun. Children love the Pendolino, the longest summer toboggan run in Carinthia. Little adventurers will clap their hands with glee on the Aqua Trail Bergwasser nature experience trail. And if that's not enough, the rock labyrinth provides an exciting conclusion.
    • Is cycling your passion? The region is teeming with challenging cycling and mountain bike routes, 950 kilometres in total.
    • Another top activity: ascending a mountain on a via ferrata climbing path. Such as the Däumling on the Gartnerkofel, and the Senza Confini on the Cellon.
    • You can swim in the adjacent Aquarena but making a splash in natural water is also fun. Nearby is Naturschwimm- und Waldbad Mauthen (the water is so pure you can drink it), and 25 kilometres away you’ll find the Pressegger See in Hermagor, at 28 degrees it’s the warmest swimming lake in Austria.
    • The magnificent Weissensee is also easily accessible at a distance of 45 kilometres.
    • Nearest airport: Klagenfurt (KLU) at 115 km
    • Area: hilly and terraced and wooded
    • Nearest city/village: 1000 m
    • Supermarket: 1000 m
