    • Princes and princesses, beware! You can reach the 13th-century Szigliget castle after a half-hour drive. The view? The cliff-top location makes for enchanting views. Green fields with hills on the horizon and Lake Balaton on the other side. It almost looks like a fairy tale.
    • Did you know that many thermal springs can be found around the lake? Located 53 kilometres away, Lake Heviz is the largest thermal lake in the world. Here, the water easily reaches 35 degrees in summer. Kids are not allowed in the thermal waters, but there is a children's pool with a playground.
    • At the vineyards of Badacsony you can imagine yourself in France, Italy or South Africa. In fact you’re still in Hungary, just a 15-minute drive from the campsite. Taste different wines aged in oak barrels, with a view of the grapevines. You’re surrounded by the photogenic green vineyard, the grasses in the valley and the clear blue sea.
    • After a 30-minute drive, you reach Talpoca. The town's treasure lies underground. Book a tour through the campsite and discover the cave system. Of the whopping 8 kilometres, you will visit 2 kilometres via a guided walking trail. Add to this the 20-minute boat trip on the underground lake, and you have the perfect recipe for a day full of lasting impressions.
    • After a 35-kilometre drive, you'll arrive at the Festetics Palast. Do you immediately think of Paris' Jardin du Luxembourg or some other stately French building? Perfectly understandable, as this palace is a masterpiece from the Baroque period. But in terms of Hungarian castle architecture.
